Overview
The XVME-689, 690, 6200 and 6250 processors all accept on-board storage modules. These modules come with the cable and mounting hardware required to place them on our processors. If ordered with the processor board, our manufacturing will mount them on your processor board to be delivered as a complete assembly. When either the XVME-912 or XVME-913 are installed on the XVME-6200 the on board PMC site is no longer available.
Compact Flash carrier (XVME-912)
The compact flash socket on the carrier module will support type I or type II Compact Flash cards. The compact flash resides as a master on the secondary EIDE port. There are no unique drivers required. The processor can be booted from the compact flash drive if configured in the BIOS Boot menu.
On-board 1.8" hard drive (XVME-913)
The on-board hard drive resides as a master on the secondary EIDE port. There are no unique drivers required. The processor module can be booted from the on-board hard drive if configured in the BIOS Boot menu.
NOTE: Our processor modules can accept either an on-board 1.8" hard drive (XVME-913) or the Compact Flash carrier (XVME-912) but not both.
