Overview
The XVME-630 is a high-performance VMEbus processor module. This single-board processor contains a Motorola 68EC030 CPU running at 25 MHz. The XVME-630 is capable of running with no wait states out of local SRAM. The XVME-630 contains three memory banks consisting of four sockets each; Bank 1 is designed to accept high-speed SRAM, while Bank 2 accepts EPROM. The third memory bank is dual-ported to the VMEbus and can accommodate SRAM, EPROM, or Flash memory.
The XVME-630 features a real-time clock with a programmable timer interrupt and 32 bytes of CMOS RAM. An on-board battery provides back-up power for the real-time clock, as well as for dual-ported memory Bank 3, if SRAM is installed.
The XVME-630 can generate and respond to all seven levels of VMEbus interrupts. In addition, the XVME-630 provides all of the system resources required to configure a functional VMEbus system. These include driving the SYSCLK and SYSRESET utilities, providing an IACK daisy-chain driver, a single-level arbiter, and a bus time-out function. The XVME-630 can also monitor ACFAIL, SYSFAIL.
